Искусственная цель для стрельбы. На соревнованиях по биатлону линия мишеней располагается параллельно огневому рубежу. Размер мишеней зависит от положения спортсмена при стрельбе. При стрельбе лежа диаметр мишени составляет 45 мм. При стрельбе стоя — 115 мм. В биатлоне используются металлические и бумажные мишени. На соревнованиях разрешены только металлические, а для пристрелки винтовок используются только бумажные. На тренировках применяются оба вида мишеней.

Artificial mark to shoot at. In biathlon events targets are set up in level lines parallel to the shooting ramp. The size of the target varies according to the position of the contestant. When shooting in a prone position, the target diameter is 45 millimeters. When shooting in a standing position, the target diameter is 115 millimeters. There are two main kinds of targets used in biathlon — metal and paper. Only metal targets are permitted to be used for competition and only paper targets will be used for rifle zeroing. Both paper and metal targets may be used for training.
